Fee Disclosures
The use of the Silo platform is free, however, clients can expect to pay some transaction fees to our custodian, Interactive Brokers. See pricing page for details. Also, Silo clients can enroll in one of our two paid membership programs (The Silo Cash Back Program). Silo generates revenue through membership fees from those programs.
In certain situations, clients may be participating in a promotional program offered by Silo. For promotional programs offered through an influencer or marketing campaign, refer to the disclosures linked on the campaign’s page. For example, a promotional program may look like a certain period of free months after which the subscription will start. Once ended, clients may have to agree and acknowledge that the free period has ended and they will be subject to fees. Qualifying periods such as “7 days to deposit” are applicable for deposits initiated during the qualifying period. They do not need to be settled.
Cash Sweep Disclosures
The cash sweep program is made available in coordination with Interactive Brokers. Uninvested cash participates in IBKR’s Insured Bank Deposit Sweep Program, which allows clients to obtain up to $2,500,000 of FDIC insurance in addition to existing $250,000 SIPC coverage for total coverage of $2,750,000.
Cash deposits in the account are offered interest rates based on IBKR’s interest rate policies. Accounts with a Net Asset Value (“NAV”) of $100,000 or more are paid the full interest rate that IBKR dictates. Accounts with NAV of less than USD $100,000 receive interest rates at rates proportional to the size of the account. Additionally, no interest is earned on the first $10,000 of cash. Rates are subject to change.
