How do I withdraw cash from my Silo Markets account?
Silo Markets allows you to withdraw available cash from your account to an eligible bank account. Depending on the withdrawal amount, transfer method, and how recently the funds were deposited, different requirements, fees, and processing times may apply.
This article explains ACH and wire withdrawals, withdrawal fees, free-withdrawal limits, two-factor authentication (2FA), and restrictions on recently deposited funds.
How Do I Withdraw Cash?
To request a withdrawal:
- Sign in to your Silo account
- Go to the “Transfers” tab
- Select the eligible bank account where you want the funds sent
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw
- Review the transfer method, fee, and estimated timing
- Complete the required 2FA verification
- Confirm your withdrawal request
Only cash that is currently available for withdrawal can be transferred.
2. Are There Fees for Withdrawals?
Silo may offer a certain number of free withdrawals within the applicable withdrawal period. Once you exceed the free-withdrawal limit, a fee may apply.
For eligible ACH withdrawals, a $1 fee may apply depending on the applicable withdrawal terms.
Before confirming your withdrawal, review the displayed fee so you know the amount that will be charged.
3. When Does a Withdrawal Go by Wire?
Larger withdrawals or withdrawals that do not qualify for ACH may be processed through wire transfer.
The available withdrawal method can depend on factors such as:
- Withdrawal amount
- Your linked bank account
- Account eligibility
- Silo's current transfer requirements
- The availability of ACH for the requested transaction
If a wire is required or selected, additional processing time or fees may apply.
4. How Long Do Withdrawals Take?
Withdrawal timing depends on the transfer method and whether the funds are already available for withdrawal.
ACH withdrawals generally take longer than an instant internal account transfer because the transaction must be processed through the banking system.
Wire withdrawals may have different processing times depending on when the request is submitted and the receiving bank.
Additional verification can also delay a withdrawal.
Step 1: Select Transfers

Step 2: Select, “Transfer Cash”

Step 3: Transfer Cash from Silo Account

5. Why Do I Need to Complete 2FA?
Silo may require two-factor authentication (2FA) before a withdrawal can be submitted.
This additional verification step helps confirm that the withdrawal was requested by the authorized account holder.
Complete the verification using the method provided by Silo. Never share your verification code with another person.
6. Can I Withdraw Recently Deposited Cash?
Not all recently deposited cash is immediately available for withdrawal.
Silo may place temporary limits on recently deposited funds while the deposit finishes processing or is verified.
For example, you may see a difference between your total account balance and your available-to-withdraw balance.
The available-to-withdraw amount is the amount you can currently send out of your account.
7. Why Are There Limits on Recently Deposited Funds?
Temporary withdrawal limits help protect accounts from unsuccessful or reversed deposits and reduce the risk of unauthorized transfers.
These restrictions can be especially important when a deposit has not fully completed processing.
Once the applicable holding or processing period has passed, the funds may become available for withdrawal.
8. What If My Withdrawal Is Delayed?
If your withdrawal is taking longer than expected:
- Check your withdrawal status in Silo
- Confirm that you have enough available to withdraw cash
- Check whether the funds were recently deposited
- Review whether a fee or additional verification step applies
- Confirm that your linked bank account is eligible
- Contact Silo Support if the withdrawal remains pending or you need help understanding the restriction
9. What Is the 90-Day Rule?
During the first 90 days after your initial funding, withdrawals may be required to return to the same bank account that was originally used to fund your Silo account.
For example, if you initially deposit funds from Bank Account A, withdrawals during the applicable 90-day period may need to be sent back to Bank Account A.
Withdrawal Limits and Processing Times
Withdrawal Limits:
- Daily Limit: There is a $100,000 daily withdrawal limit. If you need to withdraw more than this amount, you may need to complete the withdrawal over multiple days.
- Recently Deposited Funds: Temporary limits apply to recently deposited cash while the deposit is still processing or being verified. Always refer to your "available-to-withdraw" balance to see exactly how much you can currently transfer.
- Bank Account Eligibility: For the first 90 days, you may be restricted to sending withdrawals back to the same bank account used to fund your Silo account.
Processing Times:
Withdrawal times vary based on the transfer method (ACH vs. Wire) and specific circumstances.
- Standard ACH: Generally takes longer than instant internal transfers as it must be processed through the banking system.
- Wire Transfers: May involve different processing times depending on the timing of your request and the policies of the receiving bank.
- Factors That May Delay Withdrawals:
- The funds were recently deposited.
- The bank account requires verification.
- Additional security or account reviews are required.
- The available-to-withdraw balance is lower than your total account balance.
- Your bank needs additional time to process the transfer.
Always review the estimated timing and fees displayed in the Silo interface before confirming your withdrawal request. If a withdrawal is delayed, check your status in Silo, verify your available balance, and ensure your withdrawal remains within the daily limit. If issues persist, contact Silo Support.
